Nanobotmodels animation studio presents new CRIXlabs presentations about NuSilico software!
Cancer treatment side effects are absolutely miserable…but do you know why we get the in the first place? Chemotherapy drugs today are very strong and they kill any cell that’s growing fast. That means cancer cells and healthy cells. Destroying healthy cells are what lead to side effects.
Pharmaceutical companies are investigating new methods of delivering drugs that spare healthy cells and focus only on killing cancer cells. They spend 135 billion dollars a year just on R and D. The slow progress is due to the time and effort it takes to get an answer. This mean that better cancer drug is decades away instead of a few years away.
Nanotechnology is the most promising technology to spare healthy cells for reduced side effects. And yet, this research is moving slowly due to the sheer time and money needed to complete experiments.
One solution is software.
Researchers have been trying to find a software solution for some time now, but their approach has been to tackle modeling the entire body; nearly impossible to accurately complete do to the shear number of assumed, non-testable parameters and thousands of unique equations needed to produce an answer.
CRIXlabs engineers approached this problem by going through countless experiments looking into the chemistry and physical nature of drugs and where they end up in the body. We then organized this data based on the way experiments were conducted and their comparison with similar data.
The researcher followed the CRIXlabs systematic approach to building nanoparticles and together with the NuSilico simulations was able to pick the right nanoparticle to start with, necessary size, shape, and surface charge within the abilities of her lab.
Nanobotmodels animation studio in collaboration with CRIXlabs have created artistic presentations of the NuSilico software.
CRIXlabs, Inc. (http://www.crixlabs.com) is a life science software company, which predicts outcomes for biodistribution and half-life for a wide range of nanotherapeutics. Our NuSilico software has the ability to aid researchers in optimizing key characteristics to ensure their particles have a greater chance of reaching their targets. The CRIXlabs team brings expertise in software, nanotechnology, materials, product development, business development, and commercialization.
Nanobotmodels was established in 2007 with the goal of developing highly innovative, digital graphics to depict actual and conceptual technologies via the synergistic fusion of art and science. The still nascent, yet prospectively powerful discipline of nanotechnology is poised to radically transform medicine, engineering, biotechnology, electronics and myriad other sectors in the relative near-term. Hence, visionary artistic renderings that portray various aspects of this exciting nanofuture will be beneficial in facilitating a clear understanding of its fundamental concepts to a broad demographic.
Nanobotmodels generates imaginative and engaging state-of-the-art nanotechnology and nanomedical illustrations and animations. Any prototypical component, device, system or far flung concept that might be conceived of can be translated into captivating and colorful photorealistic animated or static renderings and presentation materials…. We bring them all to life for you!
